Born in 1982 in Genoa and raised in Varazze, Simone Fanciullacci is a prominent figure in contemporary Italian design. After completing classical studies, he moved to Milan to pursue his passion for functional aesthetics at the Politecnico di Milano. In 2007, he earned his Bachelor’s degree, followed by a Master’s in Plastic Product Design, a specialization that deeply influenced his technical approach to materials and industrial processes.
His professional journey began in 2008 at the Pagani and Perversi studio, followed by a significant experience as a jewelry designer. During this period, he co-founded the 4P1B design studio, a collective project that garnered prestigious international accolades, including the IF Design Award, the Good Design Award, and an Honorable Mention for the XXII Compasso d’Oro. In 2017, Fanciullacci transitioned to a solo career, signing projects under his own name and collaborating with renowned brands such as Ichendorf Milano, Giobagnara, and Nilufar Gallery. Since 2011, he has also shared his expertise as a lecturer at the Politecnico di Milano School of Design.
Today, his practice has evolved into a deeply personal exploration that blurs the boundaries between collectible design and fine art. His current artistic research is dedicated to developing increasingly sophisticated and sculptural products that challenge material limits and traditional aesthetics. This visionary body of work, characterized by its unique artistic soul and meticulous craftsmanship, is now represented and distributed exclusively by Studiotwentyseven.
