The design of the Lisbon baskets is based on a variation of a classic weave with vertical and horizontal bands, in which the overlaps are concealed to create a surface more similar to a mosaic. The surface that acts as a frame for the bands acquires importance and is transformed from a simple base into a decorative element that enhances the weave and its design.
